Background: This gene encodes a regulatory subunit of the serine/threonine phosphatase, protein phosphatase 2. This protein may regulate the expression of the P-glycoprotein ATP-binding cassette transporter through its phosphatase activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
